ESP32 block coding guide
Free ($0) is the block builder and the Pico W simulator. Standard ($30/month) adds ESP32, Raspberry Pi, Makeblock, USB upload, and .py downloads. Premium ($50/month) adds online project saves.
TurtleBlock Studio can target an ESP32. You snap the same kind of Blockly blocks, and the studio shows MicroPython. The picture simulator is still the Pico W simulator.
-
Press Open Studio. No account is needed. Your blocks stay in this browser.
-
Choose ESP32 in the board list. The studio keeps a pin list for that board, and the board info lists the built-in LED on GPIO 2.
-
Snap blocks for pins and timing. The code panel shows MicroPython.
-
Practice the idea on the Pico W simulator if you do not have an ESP32 plugged in yet. That simulator is for Pico W, not a separate ESP32 animation.
-
In Chrome or Edge, plug in the ESP32 with USB and press Connect Board.
The studio also has Wi-Fi blocks in the toolbox. Read the MicroPython before you run it on the ESP32.
Firefox and Safari can open the studio, but USB connect uses Chrome or Edge.
